What a marvelous place!!!!! If you drive a big rig, don't even try to go there but if your coach is 30' or less, this is one of the best places in Florida. The beach was wonderful with hardly anybody on it; very quiet at night; two restaurants right across the road; near Sarasota. The sites on the left-hand side are better because they don't back up to a solid fence. The closer to the beach, the better. Had reservations so we didn't even have to go near the office. It's almost as nice as being in the Florida Keys and about 350 mies closer. Go check it out!!!

We tried to find this outfit one nite recently only to prune all the low hanging trees w our 43 ft motor home. DO NOT drive your big rigs down this road, especially at nite. Now, couple this info, w the other reports about how lousy this place is, and you'll be smart to stay away from it!!!!!

I just called to check out availability for New Year's evening, and the following Sunday, since the woman and I decided we wanted to change it up instead of the typical party and possible DUI after. I just called this place, and the first time the woman answered, she immediately tells me that she is in the middle of a transaction and to call back in 2O MINUTES! I said ok, and hung up. Dumb founded I thought "you gotta be kidding!", I called back 5 minutes later, and she immediately trys to sell me on the fact this was not a nice place to stay. She explained how the sand was nasty and then asked me if I had a dog. I said yes, and she then starts telling me that dogs are not allowed, I didn't even ask about a dog wtf!! so at that point I heard enough and ended the call. No way in hell would I stay there. Should have known better than to listen to my womans Jewish Uncle about that place.

WAY overpriced. Rude and apathetic staff (I stood in the tiny office for almost 10 min before the guy at the desk even acknowledged my presence). This isn't even a campground; it's more like a small parking lot with tiny little squares sectioned out for people to camp in. It's right by the beach, which is the only positive. And probably the only reason they'll keep doing business. The close quarters and fence around the parking lot (i refuse to refer to this as a campground) makes for bad acoustics. If some jerk with loud children is up at 6 am, you're certainly going to hear it.

Oh, and it's actually called Turtle Beach Campground for the record. On the contrary, the public beach (Turtle Beach) right next door is nice for hanging out during the day.

If you visit Siesta Key, spend a few more bucks (yeah, it was $70 for our lousy tent site) and stay in a hotel.
