Lovely place for a nice walk, and take a packed lunch with something interesting for everyone. The kids can play in the park, while everyone else has a look at the boats and birds, and walk to the pretty dolphin fountain. Also, if you are in the mood, you can join in with tge telephone nature trail and listen to interesting facts about the area. Finally when you are done, head to O'learys for a cooling drink and some live music.

Our family of 5 LOVE coming here even from 45 minutes away! We have plenty of playgrounds in our neighborhood, but this place is perfect for a 4 hour afternoon at a playground, splash pad, open grass, picnic areas, a "boardwalk," with a beautiful view of city and bay, and plenty of relaxation! The kids come home tired every time.
One of the most beautiful parks in Sarasota. Close to downtown and many points of interest. Huge, free parking lot. Boat rental, boat charter, fishing etc. Restaurants (good food), beer (bottled, canned, draft) artisanal cocktails. Credit/debit cards accepted. This place is highly recommended for everyone.
Love this park.With so much to do at the park and nearby, you can definitely spend all day there. It's well kept, clean and has great views. Perfect place to hang with your family and friends. Kids had a blast there. Great for picnics, kids birthday parties. Has a nice splash pad and play ground.
