The PRESENTER was OK actually spoke well - just read off the slide presentation. We were only 4 people in the room. After the presentation we were ushered back into the private office with Donna. Now the real "negotiations" began,,,(actually I was thinking "are we here to buy a car"? it had the athmosphare of a high class Car Dealer ship....The "Membership price" started around 10,000 for life - and then went down to almost only $3900 - since we WON THE 7 DAYS CRUISE...wow - with flight for 2 - yeah we won...in addition - we did not sign up on the spot - but wanted to THINK ABOUT IT some more - which Donna rejected immediately - saying "we will not be back" - oh well - how would she know? Anyway - now we are also winning a TARGET GIFT CARD - yeah up to $100.00 - yeah again,
We were able to pick from a bunch of cards in a plastic bag....

After we got the "winner invitation" we were curious to check it out.
OOOPS - all the cards fell out - and I noticed quickly that they all had a $10.00 value written on it. I guess if we did sign up for the Membership - we would have given the bag with all the $100.00 valued gift card.

When you tally it all up - my advise BOOK YOUR OWN TRAVEL and you save a lot of money. The entire meeting with the Jandar travel staff was pleasant....I just do not like to be "taken for a ride" thinking we are blind sided and fall the gimmic. I am sure many got the "you are a winner" in the mail...advertising - to win either a car - $25.000cash, a 51" Plasma TV or a 7 day cruise (which we won - and they offered to "BUY BACK the cruise value $1000.....to bring the sign up member ship down to $3,900 - oh - and you still will pay every year you travel a $299.00 membership fee...So - in closing - Happy travels to all those who LOVE it - all the time - it might be a "good thing" for the once in while trippers - naaaaaaa....When we left, I said - this looked a lot like a Car Dealer Ship - buying a classy car....so there...this is my review...

Matrix Travel, formerly Jandar, is a wonderful travel company! The owners, Darrell and Janet provide the best customer service! Darrell is a GREAT travel planner and Janet, who runs the business, is the nicest person you'll ever meet! The best part about this company is that they rebate you back their travel commissions, so, if you travel a lot, you will make back your initial investment after a couple of trips! My boyfriend and I will make back our cost-to-join when we get back from our Viking River Cruise next year! It's really a no-brainer if you travel! Plus, they have these really wonderful and inexpensive "condo weeks" where you can stay almost anywhere for a fraction of the normal cost!
I very seldom send out a note for superior service, but this one exceeded my expectations. Last week I had occasion to contact Island Trader for a cruise we were interested in. At that time I spoke with a young lady who promptly sent me a complete package on the cruise I had specified. She was then going on vacation for a week. That was fine. Then I found, I had given her the wrong date. My mistake. I called back to Island Trader, and was transferred to Rachel, who was backing up my original contact. I needed the new date info by Monday, to join the others who had already been booked. She sent me the requested info, and seriously undercut the price I had from 2 other sources, not a vacation service. This type of response is an exceptional example of your company's ability. Please pass along my sincere appreciation for rapid service when I requested it.

Oh I forgot - when you walk into the actually beautiful office complex and finally enter their office - OMG - there are hundreds of photos from couples taped on every inch of the walls...First I thought - are these dead people? Who are they? They are the MEMBERS that signed up for the life time membership. IF you are a traveler - travel all the time, love to see the world - and can't stand to be home - this gig is for you. For the once in a while travelers - naaa I like to make my own arrangements. Finally I read the Terms & Conditions - rather small printed on our Winning Prize the 7 days cruise with flight for 2 - OMG - First of all the PRIZE only covers 3 days and 2 nights with an inner cabin. YOU PAY the REST - all the applicable FEES - taxes, port fees, registration fees, fees, fees, fees....
