Stopped in twice during a week stay on the key; pastries and coffee were wonderful but got no service or explanation of the 'famous' liquor cakes or other pastries from Robin H. - he was unfriendly, stand-offish and we felt uncomfortable trying to figure out what to get. Then he told us that we could not sit at the lovely outdoor tables since we ordered only 'to-go' pastries and coffee (even though only one table was taken). Had to eat our $15 order on the curb outside. I read a similar comment about the seating - not sure why Robin doesn't know that 'to-go' customers can sit at the outdoor tables - must need some training.
The 'special' sausage pretzel had too much mustard and cabbage for me to eat with one sausage and small pretzel... it was oozing, the sausage was sliced into half and sliding out. A little pricey $13.00. The Crossaint with black forest ham was not too bad.
Food is just ok, nothing special. The staff was terrible. The gentleman who waited on us was simply rude. There are better options in the area.
Great selection of ready to eat tasty breakfast items. We didn't discover it until our last day. I would have liked too try their cakes. A defiant stop next time.
Good boozey cakes. Will definitely simultaneously give you a buzz and diabetes.
