The best authentic Hispanic food I've come across in Sarasota so far. Taste of our dinner was refreshingly legit from the true homemade Mexican food we've had. The bakery has some really good looking pastries on another trip we made there one morning but they were somewhat dried out. All in all Guerrero's is a great place to drop in for dinner!
Worst place I’ve ever ate at! Terrible service, no one acknowledged us for at least 20 min. Food was cold and tasted like vinegar, I took one bite and returned it and she still put on our bill. Our cheese dip was literally Val Vita cheese with nothing else in it. I’m a vegetarian so I asked for no bacon ( that’s one ingredient) in the Queso cheese dip and that’s how the cold cheese same out. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. My husband paid for all of it because he’s nice, I had to leave because I was so up set w lack of service and food.
$8 Steak Chimichanga was HUGE! Was delicious, everything tasted fresh!
This is the real deal if you're looking for authentic Mexican food well prepared. The menu is a nice selection of classic dishes with a few that may be unknown to many non-Mexicans but are well worth trying. Both the garlic shrimp and spicy shrimp dishes shouldn't be overlooked. Portions are generous. With its bakery cooking up down-home delights and the Latin grocery next door, it's easy to imagine that this establishment is an important part of the local Mexican community. It's a bustling, casual atmosphere serving a wide range of customers.

Authentic and inexpensive Mexican food. Order anything a la Mexicana and it will be delightfully spicy, if you like a little heat. Pastries are Mexican style and tend to not be overly sweet. Very tasty. Service is good but can be a little slow. That said, they are always pleasant.
