Be sure to buy a tax deductible membership. $5 admissions. Buy their travel mug too. $15 and it gets you LIFETIME hot chocolate topped with whipped cream. Impeccably clean restrooms. Most helpful staff. Easy parking to the East a short walk from theater. Retain your ticket stub for a 15 percent discount at the nice little bistro nextdoor. And finally THE MOVIES! There is ALWAYS something worthwhile on at least one of their three screens. Highly recommended!!
Sarasota is very fortunate to have a movie theater run by a film society whose focus is delivering great cinema. Burns Court Cinema has been here a long time and I can't imagine Sarasota without it. As a former New Yorker, it adds an element of culture that makes living here worthwhile. Thank you Sarasota Film Society; our city is so much cooler because of you.
The best theatre for the "thinking man's" kind of movies. Not for the crash and burn, car , chase crowd. Small and intimate venue.
