Had a great experience with All My Sons.
Even after reading all the reviews I still choose All My Sons. They were upfront with me on my move about the charges and everything else. Both the ladies that I spoke to in the office was friendly and nice. They men that came out were nice and worked efficiently on my move. I would recommend this company to anyone who asked me about it. If you want great service us THIS COMMPANY!!!!!
I spoke to Diana and arranged for movers to come back on Sunday, which is not a typical work day for them. I requested a completely different crew - Diana sent the guy who initiated the unethical suggestion, with two other individuals. They showed up late on Sunday, which seems to be par for the course. So finally they're moving stuff - loading up the truck which actually went pretty well. However, once we got to our new house things started to go downhill. They left a couple of pieces of patio furniture in the yard. Put clearly labeled boxes in the wrong rooms, did not assemble furniture correctly, didn't advise when a piece of furniture broke slightly, just counted on me not being observant enough to notice.
So now I have a damaged desk and after they left I was sliding my dresser over only to find they had not attached both arms of the mirror to the back of the dresser so the mirror slipped and now the wood is gouged. Failure on all levels for this company! DO NOT USE!!!!
Worst moving company I've ever seen. If I could give less than 1 star I would. So many damages, missing stuff, and on top of all that they over charge there customers and underpay there employees. They say it's gonna be 600 then by the time they get done it turns out to be 1200 1300. Diana Bowen is the by far worst I wouldn't wish her upon anyone because she is the most unfriendly, unprofessional person in the whole office. If you are still wondering if I should move with all my sons just know that if you don't have the money to pay they will keep your stuff and continue to charge you for every night you don't pay. So if your asking me if I will ever move with all my sons again it's a big definite no!!! To be honest if anyone I ever knew said they were moving with all my sons I would tell them don't do it! I would tell them to try 2 men and a truck.
Please pay attention to these negative reviews. We had our move scheduled for Saturday. Saturday came, the movers did not - received a call saying a crew had called in sick so my move would occur in the afternoon. Movers didn't get to my 4 bedroom home til after 3:30. I was very specific about the items in our house that needed to be moved. The movers got to my home and looked around, said it would be about 8 hours (I was quoted for 5) and they'd be there til around one in the morning. First of all, they need to be somewhat true to their quote; I understand a little slippage but not 400 or 500 dollars more. Then the crew that was there suggested that I cancel the move and hire them to come back the next day and they'd move me for half of what I was paying the moving company! I just had to furnish the truck. Unethical!
Update 11/07/2017: After some back and forth with this company in which they tried to bribe me to remove my review (admittedly, I was bribeable but they wouldn't meet my 50% requested refund, but offered 30%). Then on Sunday, my son brought to my attention that his three boxes from his bedroom did not make it to our house. There was nothing in the old house - we did a walk through with the owner and it was completely empty - so the only thing left to assume is that All My Sons lost the boxes somehow in the less than 2 mile drive to our new house. I called the company - stonewalled. This company is not interested in helping anyone or in rectifying their mistakes. This company is a classic bait and switch and if you call them out, then they do substandard work and don't complete the job adequately. We are still moving items from rooms in which they were randomly placed to the correct room. This was, without a doubt, the worst moving experience I have ever had and I truly hope that these words resonate with whomever is thinking about using this company. DO NOT!!!! Your furniture will be broken, you will be missing items, you will not receive good customer service from the individuals completing the move (except possibly Sean but now even that's in doubt given the missing items).
Update 11/20/217: All Issues with All my Sons have been resolved and totally satisfied.
This company deserves so much less than one star. The one guy (the one who is unethical) kept complaining. The third guy was great to start with but got increasingly surly as the day progressed. The ONLY bright spot was the head guy, Sean. He was cheerful and businesslike every step of the way. If only AMS had all Sean's.it would be a great company but they don't and it's not. Even Diana, who was quite nice, was completely unreasonable when it came to costs. You cannot give someone a quote over the phone of 800-900 then expect them to pay 1300. If a business cannot provide accurate quotes over the phone then they shouldn't do it.
They showed up on time, and were overly careful with my belongings. I was very pleased, I highly recommend them.
And the price was lower than i thought it was going to be.
Worst company to ever do business with. They give a quote, make you sign a contract as soon as they come through the door... and if you can't pay(which will most likely won't be the number that was quoted) they will leave with your furniture. On top of all that.. my boyfriend even helped the workers with the furniture to save time. All and all.. the worst experience in my life
