I have never been disappointed in my sushi . It has always been presented with friendly smiles and conversation. Although sometimes I have a hard time with accents but I'm from the deep south so what can I say. I get sick very easily eating out so I am very pleased when I find a place I can trust to be clean and the sushi fresh. They also don't skimp on the amount of fresh fish they give you. Thats my kind of place. We moved here last year and make it a once a week lunch visit ever since.
Really sad... we loved this place when it first opened and up until our prior visit.
Speaking of my kids... one is 2 years old, the other is 4. The server brought regular plastic cups for them with no lids. I asked for lids... they don't have them. Who in their right mind doesn't stock kids cups with lids in a restaurant?!?!
Thankfully, my wife enjoyed her sushi - and that's what mattered most. But I don't think we'll ever return to Ahi Sushi. And I don't think we're alone in thinking that. We were literally the only people there from 5:30-6:30 on a Friday night. Apparently everyone else knows to avoid this place and we were the last to get the memo.
I guess we were the last to get the memo... This place is done. We've been to Ahi Sushi on numerous occasions and we've always loved it. It's been a while since our last visit and for an early Mother's Day meal, I took my wife and our 2 kids there tonight. That was, BY FAR, the WORST experience I've had in a restaurant in YEARS.
Visited Ahi Sushi for the first time tonight. I am someone who likes real authentic sushi, not rolls with cream cheese like most Americans. I enjoyed some unique fish, clams and oysters I had never tried before. They had Blue Fin Toro, Ahi Horse Mackerel and Yellow Tail from Japan. The service was great. My only negative was the saki was not ice cold, which is how I prefer it.
They ARE open Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day! I work here as wait staff, so come on in while other places are closed! Fresh fish, daily specials, fantastic Sake selection for the connesuiers, and great wine and beer selection! Always ready to greet you with a smile and warm wishes with quick service and quality food!
My entree was so bad (the same meal I always order) that I took one bite and didn't finish it. My salad had so much dressing on it that it was basically dressing soup with a few pieces of lettuce in it. It was like they used a ladle to pour dressing on a tiny side salad. My kids, who normally LOVE fried rice each ate about 3 bites and stopped.
I've never been disappointed here. I love the kind and friendly staff and DELICIOUS food!
