Not only one of the more innovative places, but one of the most consistently good places to eat in Sarasota! I never have any qualms about recommending Indigenous as one of the best restaurants Sarasota has to offer. I haven't had a bad meal here yet...
Best dinner I have had in Sarasota. The wild mushroom soup was to die for. My friend had the Caesar salad and it was delicious. The Parmesan beignets were just the right amount of sweet and salt. Then for an entree, my party of 8 raved about the Everglades bake. The lighting outside is romantic yet festive. One warning: doesn’t open til 5:30 Friday’s.
Favorite restaurant anywhere. Live in DC but visit Sarasota frequently. Every time I visit end up at Indigenous. The menu is always changing but always excellent. Under priced considering they only use high quality local ingredients. Would give it 6 stars if I could. Staff is very helpful.
Inventive chef with a flair for local ingredients. Upbeat small restaurant with more outside dining than inside. Great wait staff, good wine list and new menus make this a must try when near sarasota. Don't miss a chance to enjoy this great spot.
Haven't been to the restaurant yet but will definitely be going soon. I had the Wild Mushroom Bisque at the Bowls for Hope and I can honestly say it is the best soup I have ever tasted!!!! Real quality ingredients evident in every bite. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I wish I could get that recipe Chef
