Dr. Ward has made the most painful and stressful experience of my life the best she possibly can. The staff is wonderful. My dog actually RUNS in as fast as he can to see them. They let me ask all of my overbearing pet parent questions too.
I️ am so impressed with Dr Wards compassion, effective diagnosis and treatment and efficiency too. I️ can’t imagine the kind of emotional strength it must take to see terminally ill pets all day long and still be able to focus on presenting the best and most humane treatment plans, be supportive of frightened pets as well as personable and caring to the heart-broken and nervous pet owners. She is also diplomatic in helping indecisive owners find what is the right answer for them and their beloved pet. She somehow manages to stay on schedule, even when referrals pop in without enough info to help her know why they are there. I’ve seen a lot in her office and waiting room because I’ve had two terminally ill dogs treated there in a span of 6 months. When we found out the second one was terminal just 4 days before the first one passed away. He was given only weeks to live according to UF Vets, Dr Ward said, “ I’m not letting you lose both your dogs in 2 weeks.” And here we are 4 months later and he’s a happy boy and doing well thanks to her thoughtful and creative approach to his individualized treatment. I️ just can’t say enough nice things about her. She’s given us so many more days with our boy than we expected. Every day is a blessing and a direct result of her care and the gift God have her.
Hands down the best specialty vet EVER! Dr. Ward treats the animals and their humans with such dignity and respect. This is no easy feat when her practice is often full of difficult and devastating cases. She cares enough to be honest and explain the process. I am forever grateful that I was referred to her practice. Page and I thank you, Dr. Ward & staff.
Heidi is the best specialty vet you could ever ask for. I can not say enough about her knowledge and care for animals. She is very black and white which takes a minute to get used to, but it is very helpful in determining how to proceed with the care of your animal. I have had 2 different dogs that have unfortunately had cancer and had to go to Heidi, I have spent many years with her and her staff, it gets no better!
I am so grateful for Dr. Ward and the staff at Gulf coast Veterinary. Heidi's knowledge and compassion for animals is apparent. I've spent a lot of time here in the last year and they won't give up on my doggy. Thank you
