Thanks a million to Books A Million! Will is amazing! He completely set up a children's event for me. I had a kids language event and he was super accommodating. I highly recommend using this space for a children's event. Pastries and coffee were delicious!
I love this store! It's always neat and organized and the staff is always very nice and extremely helpful. Plus they have a huge clearance section where they sell many different genres of books and their mostly best sellers so their books that you actually want to buy. I buy a lot of my books here and I love that I can get a brand new best seller for between $3.97- $6.97 (they have hard cover too) I always check their clearance section before I buy a book to see if I can get lucky and get it on sale. And most of the books they have on clearance are newer books that just came out within the past year or 2 and the majority of them are best sellers. For bookworms like myself it's book heaven. Barnes and noble has a very small clearance section but the majority of the books they have on clearance are classics or older books that just aren't selling. So it's. definitely no where near as good as B.A.M. This is hands down my favorite book store!!!
Great place for an outing with my kids. They love the toys and books. The staff is very helpful. The pastries at the coffee shop are usually stale or taste like the boxes they came in and the coffee drinks are too sweet. I don't like that the continually try to get me to sign up for free magazines that aren't really free. The company is a complete scam and it bums me out the this great book store supports them. We always have a good time here though - so 4 stars!
I loved this shop very much, until today. As Google Local Guide and Trusted photographer I am visiting restaurants, shops and offering free Street View panorama photos of their establishment. Today was this bookstores turn in Sarasota Pavilion. The person in the cash register says I am not allowed to take photos, he needs to get permission. Three different levels of chefs did not dare to decide whether the photographs are allowed or not. There is no sign anywhere that photographing is not allowed, for Heavens sake it is a bookstore not a military unit! Persons in high position do not understand the power of free advertising via professional photos in Google Maps?
