Service by Kristin was totally tops. Her positive attitude and product knowledge was also tops. GM engineering has been my concern in the past that drove me away to Hyundai for last 16 years. Recently I relented and leased first a GMC Terrain and currently Chevy Equinox. I deliberately chose basic packages with minimal tech equipment. Goal was to avoid need for service calls. Never the less I was back for service to a manual seat track which jammed so I could not move seat forward & backward. I expect that GM could make reliable manual seats after all these years in the car business. So to be clear. The Sunset service department and staff are top flight. I am reserving on GM engineering. I heard the customer next to me at check in describe a litany of design failures that turned into service headaches for the customer. Reminded me of the fiascos I went thru in the past with Caprice Classics that required extensive/expensive repairs just to get speedometer to work. Cost me a family vacation that year. Cost GM a customer for 16 years. I am watching you carefully GM!
Was shopping for a new truck for about a week and Sunset was the first place I went to. Todd Pierce was extremely helpful, up front about all the pricing and options, and gave us a price with all the rebates he could find. They did not have the color I wanted in stock, but Todd said he would find one for me and he did. After Sunset I went to at least 5 different dealers with very mixed experiences. In the end none of them could even match or beat the price Todd got me in the first place, and he was able to get the exact vehicle I wanted at the promised price. There were no surprises whatsoever, even once I got into financing where you expect misc. fees to be added and change your payment. I will definitely see Todd at Sunset for my next purchase, and recommend anyone else do the same!
Chuck allowed me to test drive a vehicle and respected my privacy. We went for a drive, he asked me when I would be buying and gave me his business card. The area dealerships could learn a lot from this man, he did not once pry or try to pressure me into a sale. Beware the tactic at other dealerships where they hold your car keys for hours at the sales managers desk.
It should have been 5 stars! I had my car repaired after an accident recently and they did a great job making it look like new, however, they put a brand new bumper on the car and added back an empty front license plate bracket and screws! WHY?? Yes, my old bumper had the cover on it because it came from another state, but common sense would say it's not needed in FLORIDA! Totally unnecessary. :/
