I had some dash lights come on - engine light, etc. I changed the gas cap and eventually the lights went away for a few days but came back on. Gary's shop had a coupon to check the computer for dash lights for free and even though I live in Venice, I made an appointment. My dealer was going to charge me $60.
Gary fixed my Honda Civic no start problem very reasonable and first class service. Great mechanic with 35 years of experience. I highly recommend him for repairs.
The first time I talked with Gary about my truck, there was water coming from the radiator, (or so I thought) and it was overheating! Made an appointment and came in the next day. He told me about how much a radiator would cost and I said do it. By the end of the day it wasn't the radiator it was the water pump! He replaced it, and the truck hasn't overheated since (or leaked). I'm writing this review because Gary could have said or charged anything, broken radiator, hoses, belts, water pump, etc. I don't know very much about cars, but I do know people! If you need an honest, dependable and reliable mechanic, go see Gary's Auto Repair Service, He really knows what he is doing! Once again, Gary got the truck running better than it ever has since i owned it! No more check engine light! That thing had been on since I got the truck!! Thank you Gary, awesome JOB!!

Well, I found a great new mechanic for my 2004 Rav4. He was so honest, didn't charge me anything but reset the computer and told me that there were just a few very small leaks in the Vac system but not to worry about it unless the lights come back on and then there are a couple of other things he can check. I have had such bad experiences with mechanics when they know a woman is coming and just see dollar signs. I have even had two different ones mess up something on the car so that I would bring it back. I know this because I had another mechanic to check it and he said things were loosened. I know I can trust Gary because he is not just looking to gouge you but to make a customer for life and he has over 30 yrs experience!. I highly recommend him... his wife, Marie, is also great. You won't regret going here.
Gary's Auto Repair was amazing. They have such a great staff! I was having a very bad day, I had just lost my job that I had been at for over 5 years and then on top of that my car decided to break down. I didn't know where to go, I have never taken my car to a mechanic other than to have my oil changed or new tires put on. I did not want to be taken advantage of or charged too much, I just lost my job and was going to need to conserve my savings. I called around a few different places and they said it was going to be anywhere from $150-$300 just to test and diagnose what was wrong. I did not have that kind of money. Then I called a friend of mine who recommended Gary's auto repair. I called and spoke to a lovely woman Gary's wife Marie. She assured me that Gary would text and diagnose my car and give me an estimate for free. She also gave me the name of a cheap towing service so I could get my car there. I finally got there and met Gary and his assistant Shane, they were such nice, caring people. After about 30 minutes Gary had figured out what was wrong and gave me a great estimate, very affordable. I'm happy to say I am back in the road again thanks to the wonderful people at Gary's auto repair!! I will never go to another mechanic and would recommend him to all my family and friends!
