I realize I was excited about the vehicle, very tired and should have waited. My vehicle is in great condition now-$several thousands of dollars later. As is means "as is" so do not depend on Scotti's or used car dealers in general to do the investigative work you will need to do before investing $. Cars are purchased at auctions where even the dealers don't know the fillers, accidents that these cars have experienced and a car fax only reports what the owners or dealer report. I have learned alot from this experience.

The point of this update is to encourage shoppers to take their vehicles to their own mechanics for a diagnostic and thoroughly check it out.

The absolute worst experience of buying a car imaginable. CUSTOMERS BEWARE ALL THEY DO IS CLEAR THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT AND SEND IT TO THE FRONT LINE OF THE LOT. I personally bought a 2008 Mercedes e63, now I know that buying this car I'm going to have some problems. I POINTED OUT MOST OF THE COSMETIC AND ELECTRONIC ISSUES and finally came to what I thought was a good deal. After driving off the lot less than 20 miles I give it a little power and the CHECK engine light starts flashing and the car starts shaking like its about to blow up. TO THIS DAY I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM AND I HAVE A 400 MONTHLY PAYMENT TO GO WITH IT. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR GO TO A BUY HERE PAY HERE YOU'LL HAVE BETTER LUCK FINDING A USED QUALITY VEHICLE.

Absolutely never buy a car from this place. We purchased 2 vehicles and at the time the check-engine lights were both on. They cleared them and chalked it up to "bad gas" and the wrong type. They talked a big game about their service dept so we proceeded. Had both cars shipped to Ohio where both lights came back on. One car completely quit and ended up costing us $5500 to fix. Called the dealership for over 3 weeks and the owner refused to accept any responsibility. Stated "as-is" and tough love. Keep in mind... we purchased TWO cars from them. The other car repair cost was $3300. So a total of $8800 that Scotti's paid ZERO on. Dateline NBC would have a field day with this place. How they're still in business is beyond me. Whatever you do, don't allow your big toe on their property. It's the largest scam you'd ever see.

I wanted to follow up again and add another star to my follow up review. After I posted my review Scotti's Auto Sales called me to offer any help and expressed their concern. Harold thank you for reaching out, listening and I added a star for the fact that Scotti's reached out. As I stated in my follow up review after one year and a half, I am giving advice to buyers to take the time to have cars checked out when they are "as is". That is our responsibility as the buyer. I am not angry or upset anymore about the stress of the repairs and items I discovered about the car I purchased. The past is behind and I've learned from this experience from an "as is" vehicle.

I HAD THE MOST AMAZING GUY HELPING ME!!! He literally went above and beyond to make sure i got the car i wanted i appreciate him so much for that!!! Junior aka JR i had a smooth n great experience!! Had my car an less then an hour!!

Follow up review from May 2016. I originally gave 5 stars to this auto dealer. Only a day or two after purchasing my engine light came on. I reached out to Scotti's and it took a couple of weeks to get an appointment. I was told the noise I was hearing was not an issue and that the car was gorgeous and I should not expect the car to be perfect. We tried to be patient since the owner was having health issues. I had the car taken to a local European car specialist with an excellent reputation. They quickly heard the noise and issue I had ascertained. They also found other issues with the vehicle. $1500 bill. I realize I purchased the car as is and only had 3 days to return the car. I wish I had immediately taken the vehicle to our local garage. Scotti's owner offered to make any further repairs at a cheaper rate no labor charges. a few months after that, a crack appeared on the left side of the hood. The front screen panel also came off. I took it to a professional body shop. Apparently the car had been painted over previously. The area where the crack was had filler put in it. Hindsight is 20/20. As nice as everyone was the first day I came in, spent 5 hours with my son. I should have taken the salesman's advice, slept on it and or taken it immediately to my local shop in the town I live in. I'll never know if Scott's knew about all the issues with the car and I'm not going to worry about it. I found out it was bought from the local Sarasota BMW dealer when I registered the BMW I purchased from Scotti's with BMW of North America.
