I would like to thank most of the staff, especially Darlene. This lady never shows if she's stressed. She is compassionate and caring. She deserves a raise. Thank you everybody.

This place is just ridiculous. We brought our son here for help. He was there for 72 hrs and we never even got a call or meeting from a doctor or anyone. Unbelievable when we are talking about a minor. I would not recommend anyone to this place. Nobody knew anything of what was going on with him whatsoever. Never in my life did I expect to have my child in this place and receive no information on his treatment or other. Horrible experience....

The people in this hell hole don't care about their patients. We're non-humans to them. They have no compassion, nor do they show any kind of respect. There are no therapists to talk to. The only thing they have is group therapy. It sucks. I was manic for several days and they did nothing to help calm me down. I would not recommend them to my worst enemies.

I feel that my constitutional rights have been violated in my being locked up for having supposedly used words on a phone in self-defense to abuse, and by the questions that they asked me in the process. I didn't do anything to actually hurt anyone, but I was in black out of having been tortured in voodoo trance for years. The doctor lied about the diagnosis he would give me, so I'm now in the process of trying to have my diagnosis changed to help me attain proper medication. The doctor at Coastal Behavioral also wouldn't diagnose me, despite my qualifying 5 or 6 times over, according to the psych manual. He told me to get my meds on the black market, which I find highly irresponsible and oppressive.

Years ago this hospital was great and really helped people not now. I had a family member there recently and they admitted him and don't do anything to help. I couldn't even get a doctor to call me or talk to me. The case management was snobby and unfriendly acting like it was a pain to talk to me. The nursing staff had to be directed to what was happening right under their own noses. No medications were changed and now we are waiting for another doctors option. I am a single mother with a adult child with a severe mental illness I don't know where to turn. It is pitiful what our greedy healthcare system has become. Just be aware don't take your loved ones to Bayside.
